{"id":28297,"date":"2026-03-12T16:40:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T15:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bordier.com\/?post_type=legal_compliance&#038;p=28297"},"modified":"2026-03-16T11:58:36","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T10:58:36","slug":"switzerland-legal-and-compliance-cards","status":"publish","type":"legal_compliance","link":"https:\/\/www.bordier.com\/es\/legal-and-compliance\/switzerland\/switzerland-legal-and-compliance-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"Switzerland \u2013 Legal and Compliance \u2013 Cards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section id=\"section-block_a7225dde427c939a365ac8bb17508a24\" class=\"page-hero-outer basic-style  type-simple\">\n    <div class=\"holder\">\n        <div class=\"page-hero-content\">\n            <div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legal &amp; Compliance<\/h6>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Disputing a transaction <br>made with Mastercard debit card<\/h1>\n\n<\/div>        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group background-light wrapper-xs\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are entitled to dispute any transaction that has been incorrectly debited from your Mastercard debit card through our partner, SIX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chargebacks are possible for various reasons, including where:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You do not receive the goods or services you paid for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The goods or services prove to be defective, counterfeit, or faulty (in such cases, you must send the goods back to receive a chargeback).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have been charged the wrong amount or the same transaction was processed twice.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You have been charged a further payment after cancelling a subscription.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Chargebacks are not possible where:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The transaction was processed using 3-D Secure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transaction took place on site via contactless or chip and PIN code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The prescribed deadline for the chargeback procedure (30 days from receipt of the account statement showing the transaction) has expired.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The payment is for a subscription that has not been cancelled.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The transaction was carried out using a digital wallet (e.g., Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, etc.).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The objection relates to the quality of the goods or services provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The correct procedure for contesting a transaction:<div><span style=\"background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.2);\"><\/span><\/div><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact the retailer first and try to reach an agreement directly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are not able to reach an agreement with the retailer, you must initiate the chargeback process by submitting the dispute form. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you suspect fraudulent activity and your card has not yet been blocked, you should immediately request the card block by calling our partner SIX using the phone number printed on the back of your card. This emergency service is available 24\/7.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please note that a maximum of 35 transactions per Mastercard Debit card can be disputed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gather all available supporting documentation (e.g. emails, information on contact with the retailer, receipts, etc.) and submit this together with the dispute form.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can upload the dispute form and supporting documentation to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.six-group.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.six-group.com<\/a> and your application will be processed directly by SIX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once your documents have been successfully uploaded, SIX will send you written acknowledgment of receipt by email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that various parties are involved in the investigation process, and it may therefore take several months before a final decision is made concerning your application. The decision to approve or reject your chargeback procedure is made in accordance with the rules of Mastercard. Neither SIX nor the card issuer (Bordier &amp; Cie SCmA) are able to influence this decision.
