The financing was raised through Bordier &amp; Cie, acting as arranger of the financing and distributor to its private client base.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The portfolio brings together ten zero-carbon energy production facilities combining heat pumps, biomass, photovoltaics, and large-scale battery storage. Together, these decentralised production sites generate approximately 3 <strong><\/strong>GWh of electricity annually, representing the annual electricity consumption of around 700 Swiss households, and 500 MWh of heat annually. Located across the cantons of Fribourg, Valais and Vaud, the energy is produced and consumed locally, under long-term supply contracts with the property owners and tenants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>The major hurdle to the energy transition for communes, property owners and industrial sites is financing. Through this innovative collaboration with the private bank Bordier &amp; Cie, Qanta can commit to these projects in full, and our counterparties know the capital is there<\/em>,\u00a0\u00bb says Pierre-Lo\u00efc Ca\u00efjo, CEO of Qanta Energy SA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Switzerland will require some CHF 12.9 billion of investment annually to reach net zero by 2050, according to the Swiss Bankers Association, which notes the challenge lies as much in the volume and diversity of individual investments as in the total sums. Individually, these decentralized, decarbonised energy installations are small by nature and have largely remained outside the reach of conventional infrastructure investors.
