From an exclusive summer gathering in José Ignacio to a new brand presence at Montevideo International Airport, Bordier Uruguay continues to strengthen its visibility and deepen relationships with clients and prospects across the region.

Bordier Client Event in Punta del Este: Deepening Relationships and Building New Connections

In January 2026, during the South American summer, Bordier welcomed approximately 50 clients and prospects to an unforgettable evening at Playa Vik, the exclusive resort located in the heart of José Ignacio, a former fishing village near Punta del Este.

During the summer season, Punta del Este becomes one of South America’s leading destinations and meeting points for wealth management clients. José Ignacio is often regarded as South America’s Côte d’Azur: a place where HNW and UHNW clients, decision-makers, opinion leaders and some of the continent’s most influential figures naturally come together.

For Bordier, it is an opportunity to strengthen relationships, build trust and create long-term connections in a relaxed setting — away from the formality of the office, but with the same seriousness and commitment that define our service.

An Evening Designed for Meaningful Encounters

The event at Playa Vik, hosted by Gerardo Palacios (Country Head Uruguay) and Daia Feigenwinter (Head Latam & Iberia), was highly appreciated by clients and prospects alike. Every detail of the dinner was carefully considered, from the menu to the wines. The live jazz band enhanced the atmosphere without overwhelming it, and a warm environment encouraged relaxed conversation and genuine exchange among clients and prospects. The guests were mainly from Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay and also included European residents.

The objectives were clear: to reaffirm the firm’s commitment to the region after more than 18 years of local presence in Uruguay, to thank our most important clients for their loyalty, but also to connect with new prospects. Once again, José Ignacio and Punta del Este proved to be much more than summer destinations — they are strategic platforms for our business and for the relationships that sustain it.

A New Landmark for the Bordier Brand

As part of our brand positioning strategy and a broader effort to strengthen our brand recognition in the region, Bordier took a further step this year by installing an advertisement in one of the highest-traffic and most visible areas of the Montevideo International Airport. The initiative follows a successful path already implemented by the firm at Geneva Airport in Switzerland.

Montevideo International Airport welcomes more than two million passengers per year, including a significant number of high-net-worth individuals from Latin America and Europe. Many of them have chosen Uruguay as their place of residence, due to its stability, infrastructure, natural beauty and the country’s long-standing tax incentive programmes.

A Calendar of Experiences

The summer gathering and the new airport presence are part of a broader calendar of initiatives planned for the rest of the year. Upcoming client events in Buenos Aires and Montevideo in October, with the participation of Christian Skaanild and Daia Feigenwinter, are designed to maintain this momentum and further strengthen the brand’s visibility.

We look forward to sharing our next experience in a future update.

Finally, our sincere thanks go to everyone who contributed to the success of these initiatives, from the Partners and our marketing colleagues in Geneva to the bankers who engaged clients and prospects throughout the year.
