It has been an encouraging start to the year at 23 King Street, from industry recognition to hosting private client events at the historic Travellers Club in St James’ – a successful evening that was positively received by clients.

An award winning start to the year…

Bordier UK hit the ground running again this year with two wins at the prestigious Twelfth Annual WealthBriefing European Awards in both the ‘Specialist Wealth Manager with AUM over £5 billion’ and ‘Discretionary Fund Management (DFM) Offering’ categories – marking the sixth consecutive year being crowned winners at these awards.

On the submission, the judges commented: “With no external stakeholders, or disruptive private equity influences, the winning firm is able to focus on their client’s best interests and deliver exceptional client outcomes.”

The awards ceremony was held at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square, on 21 March, where the trophies were collected by Bordier UK’s Head of Wealth Planning, Simon Skerratt-Williams.

Continuing the good momentum, Bordier UK were also named ‘Asset Manager of the Year (up to €100bn AUM)’ at the Wealth & Asset Management Awards. Organised by MoneyAge, the awards celebrate the success and innovation within the wealth and asset management industry.

Once again representing Bordier UK, Simon attended the ceremony at The Waldorf Hilton, London to collect the award on 2 May.

Prospecting, Productivity and Partnerships

2024 has been a year of growth at Bordier UK. The expansion of the Sales team across the UK has seen increased recognition and prospecting opportunities at local and national industry events – including some of the largest adviser-focused events in the country. This year so far, Bordier UK have partnered with multiple advice firms and are expecting a combined total of £150m in new business from these newly developed relationships over the next 12 months.

The team in London remain enthusiastic to see what the second half of the year will bring. This includes hosting clients and introducers, in August, at one of the oldest and most respected sailing regattas in the world, Cowes Week, as well as a special visit from SolarStratos pilot, Raphaël Domjan, in September before his journey to the ‘edge of space’.
